I am skipping today's Tuesday Before & After post to talk about a photography workshop I attended this past Sunday called After Dark. The workshop was put on by Pierre of Pierre's Portrait Art Co.. If you are ever looking for a great photographer, come see us first : ) if we are booked, then go check out Pierre!
After Dark was centered around learning how to work with light in dark or low light area's. This included using off camera flash and video lights and how to balance them with ambient light (available light around you). Pierre was very informative and definitely knows his stuff!
After discussing about light and equipment at his beautiful studio on the east side of madison, we headed downtown for some location shoots with our models. I had such a blast learning some new techniques and meeting other fabulous photogs in the area! This was actually my very first workshop, but it definitely won't be my last.
Here are some samples from our shoot we did Sunday evening. Aside from some minor contrast and color adjustments in Lightroom2, no other photoshopping has been done - so essentially straight out of camera.
The models were so much fun with their expressions.
Photographers on the left, models on the right, light all around.
I will bring back Before & Afters next week Tuesday for sure. Already got a shot lined up for it...
What a fun learning experience for you! I'm sure this only enhances what photography talent you already have. Awesome shots, as always!
